LAUNCH OF COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER
On the 31st of May 2012 Council approved the publication of a Community newspaper with effect from June
2012. Senior management of Great Kei Local Municipality would like to encourage all communities to contribute towards the publication
of this all important communication tool. The newspaper will be published on a monthly basis and will be available for FREE at any
local store in all towns of Great Kei LM. Ward Committees will also assist in the distribution of this newspaper.

The Mayor of Great Kei Local Municipality, Councillor NW Tekile, unveilled the Komga Signage on the 31st of May 2012.
GIS Shared Services for Great Kei Local Municipality
Amathole District Municipality introduced Geographic Information Systems shared
services for Great Kei. This system enables electricians, project managers and other officials at the municipality to do better spatial
analysis. A geographic information system (GIS) integrates hardware, software and date for capturing, managing, analysing, and
displaying all forms of geographically reference information.
